Custom-profile testing of batteries in temperatures ranging from -60*C to +100*C, and altitude simulations from 250’ to 100,000’ ideal for mission critical applications
BEAVERTON, Ore., Mar 26, 2019 – Mobile Power Solutions, a leading battery testing and certification lab, today announced it now offers highly customized automated profiling and real-time remote monitoring of batteries in a large thermal chamber that can accommodate small to large format batteries.
Battery systems for mission critical markets like aerospace and avionics require a very wide range of temperature and pressure scenarios and must adhere to stringent safety and reliability requirements to protect lives. Multiple rigorous manual testing cycles of these batteries is time-consuming and costly.
“Using state-of-the-art equipment from Cincinnati Sub Zero, we can now test multiple batteries with real-time monitoring,” said Chuck Weitzel, Owner of Mobile Power Solutions. “This testing and evaluation process allows us to thoroughly and efficiently test these components while quickly providing counsel on design modifications, ultimately offering our customers valuable cost-savings and time-to-market.”
Thermal chamber testing can profile up to 99 steps with auto-start, real-time trend graphing and remote monitoring over a wide range of temperatures and altitudes. It is fully customizable to a customer’s individual needs based on battery design and application.
